Board of Directors for the 2011/2012 School Year

The Coordinator position is occupied by Russell and Kimberly Smith. 

The Smith's have 3 children and this is their 9th year homeschooling. 

The Coordinator is responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly, presides over Board Meetings, and helps to fill vacant positions. They handle questions about CGCHE policy and interface with the public.

The Treasurer position is occupied by Harold and Anna Lowery. 

The Lowery's have 5 children and this is their 15th year homeschooling. 

The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining our checking account, balancing monthly statements, depositing membership fees and any other moneys, handling returned checks , and gathering tax record information to be turned into the accountant for yearly taxes. In the future, there is the probability that our corporation will have to file quarterly taxes. The Treasurer is also responsible for maintaining our Incorporation status.

The Secretary position is held by Darrel and Denise West. 

The West's have 4 children and this is their 12th year homeschooling.

The Secretary is responsible for receiving and processing applications, updating the online handbook/directory, handing out membership cards and turning in membership fees to the Treasurer.  The Secretary also is responsible for completion of membership reports (twice a year) to HSLDA.


The Coordinator of Communications position is currently OPEN. 

The Coordinator of Communications is responsible for overseeing all the communications positions within the group, makes sure that contact questions go to the correct person and oversees the distribution of the newsletter and reminders.

They also answer most contact questions that come through the website.
The Coordinator of Communications is responsible for updating the website, www.cgche.com.

The Coordinator of Activities position is held by Steven and Kimberly Moodie.

The Moodie's have 3 children and have homeschooled for 11 years.

The Coordinator of Activities is responsible for finding a leader (coordinator) for the positions listed under their title on the 2nd page of the membership application.  
They are also responsible for making sure that all activities are running smoothly throughout the school year.

The Coordinator of Education position is held by Joe and Tracy Rhoades. 

The Rhoades have 3 children and have been homeschooling for 11 years. 

The Coordinator of Education is responsible for finding a leader (coordinator) for the positions listed under their title on the 2nd page of the membership application.  
They are also responsible for making sure that all educational activities are running smoothly throughout the school year.
