Board of Directors for the 2009/2010 School Year

The Coordinator position is occupied by Jay and Melanie Harrington. 

The Harrington's have 4 children and this is their 16th year homeschooling. 

The Coordinator is responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly, presides over Board Meetings, and helps to fill vacant positions. They handle questions about CGCHE policy and interface with the public.

The Treasurer position is occupied by Harold and Anna Lowery. 

The Lowery's have 5 children and this is their 13th year homeschooling. 

The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining our checking account, balancing monthly statements, depositing membership fees and any other moneys, handling returned checks , and gathering tax record information to be turned into the accountant for yearly taxes. In the future, there is the probability that our corporation will have to file quarterly taxes. The Treasurer is also responsible for maintaining our Incorporation status.

The Secretary position is held by Darrel and Denise West. 

The West's have 4 children and this is their 9th year homeschooling.

The Secretary is responsible for receiving applications, updating handbooks, delivering (or mailing) handbooks and membership cards and turning in membership fees to the Treasurer. The Secretary also mails out “info packets” to those interested in joining CGCHE and copies of the Curriculum Distributors List to those who just need some help in locating curriculum. The Secretary also is responsible for completion of membership reports (twice a year) to HSLDA.

The Coordinator of Activities position is held by Shan and Denise Crosby.

The Crosby's have 2 children and this is their 5th year homeschooling.

The Coordinator of Activities is responsible for finding a leader (coordinator) for the positions listed under their title on page 8. The positions are listed on the back of the membership application to help make the Coordinator of Communications job easier in finding a leader and assistants each year.

The Coordinator of Communications position is held by Matthew and Julie Boerger. 

The Boerger's have 2 children and this is their 8th year homeschooling.

The Fisher's have 6 children and this is their 12th year homeschooling.
